ABOUT ME
I am an IT consultant working in the Education sector. I have been following IT since the early days of the Sinclair Spectrum and the BBC Computer. Out side of work I am particularly interested in open source software such as FreeNAS, Pi-Hole and pfSense. I am also interested in home automation such as Philips Hue, Tado and Logitech Harmony.

Selection of the right hardware is especially important to ensure that the customer gets the best “bang for buck”. This should take into account running costs as well as the capital purchase price.

Software Selection
Alongside the hardware the software should be specified to match the hardware.

I am happy to develop procurement strategies around an output specification.
